Three teenagers are facing criminal mischief charges after dumping soap in the fountain inside Crown Colony, according to a police report. Lufkin Police have not been in contact with the owner of the property to see if they will be filing charges, but a security employee told police it is costly to fix the fountain because soap typically damages the pump seals. The incident is under investigation.

A counterfeit $10 bill was detected by a store employee Wednesday in the 600 block of South Timberland Drive. The man who paid with the bill said he must have gotten it as change over the last few days, paid with a real $10 bill and then gave police his identifying information.
A JVC brand 52-inch television, a Craftsman brand string trimmer, a Craftsman brand push lawn mower and a white 1999 Honda Accord were reported stolen from a home broken into Wednesday in the 1700 block of Courtney Lane.

The Lufkin Police Department made six arrests late Wednesday and early Thursday. Arrests and charges included: Criston Limbrick, 26, warrant on a ticket; Erika Hood, 23, no driver’s license and speeding; Omar Almaguer, 21, four Class C warrants and possession of marijuana; Elizabeth Salinas, 25, interfering with child custody; Betty Jean Phillips, 43, nine warrants on tickets; and Frank Badall, 29, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
The Angelina County Sheriff’s Office made 12 arrests late Wednesday and early Thursday. Arrests and charge included: Travis Townsend, 36 illegal dumping; Sarah Hunsiken, 19, assault; Benjamin Woltz, 54, aggravated sexual assault of a child; Ricky Peveto, 26, two traffic tickets; Ellis Luke, 22, two traffic tickets; Jessica Jamison, 24, possession of a controlled substance; Steven Gribble. 36, adjudication of guilt; Trevor Parks, 18, adjudication of guilt; Derrick Sutton, 31, hold; Ellen Ray Grimes, 49, assault/family violence; Randy Moody, 40, failure to signal; and Christal Mosley 37, assault/family violence.
The Diboll Police Department made two arrests late Wednesday and early Thursday. Arrests and charges included: Lloyd Dreyer, 38, probation revocation; and Sheri Smith, 38, forgery of a financial instrument.
The Huntington Police Department arrested Mark Lewis, 52, on a parole warrant Wednesday.
The Angelina County Jail housed 245 inmates as of 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
