Star in a Honda TV advert -  News - MSN Cars UK

Honda is launching a new advertising campaign in support of a series of Channel 4 documentaries, showing off its wide-range of not necessarily car-related products – and you could be the final star.

The Channel 4 documentary sponsorship campaign – which takes the form of ‘bumpers’ either side of advertising breaks – is intended to celebrate the “interesting and innovative” uses people have for their Honda gear.

The first adverts air on Channel 4 tonight at 9pm, supporting a documentary entitled “The Palour”. The Honda highlighted is an ATV, shown in day-to-day use by alpaca farmer Philippa Wills.

There will be further Honda adventures in following weeks, potentially covering everything Honda makes and sells – from hedge-trimmers and lawn mowers to marine engines and motorbikes. We’ll just have to wait and see.

But if you use a Honda product in an interesting, innovative or downright unusual way, Honda wants you to get in touch – because you could potentially end up starring alongside your Honda kit in the final set of adverts in the campaign.

All you need to do is go to the www.honda.co.uk/stories website, and tell your Honda story to enter the contest. The competition is open right now, and closes at the end of September 2011 (you can find the full terms and conditions online).

The person using their Honda in the “most extraordinary” way will have their tale turned into a film, featured both online and alongside the final Channel 4 documentary – which will also be broadcast on the More 4 channel.

The full 15-minute version of the film involving Philippa Wills, her alpacas and her Honda ATV is available to view online now.
