The following incidents were reported by the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office and the Kinston Department of Public Safety:
On April 19, a man on Dunn Family Road, Kinston, reported the following stolen: A blue Craftsman tool box valued at $20; miscellaneous tools valued at $250.
On May 4, a representative of Wayne Chapel on Rouse Road, Kinston, reported someone broke into their premises and stole the following: A Peavey cordless microphone and reciever valued at $450; a cordless microphone valued at $180; a Peavey 12-channel mixing board valued at $800; a CD player valued at $50; a camera monitor valued at $150; a communion tray valued at $150, a Sunbeam water cooler valued at $100. Damages to a door/casing were estimated at $350; damages to a window/casing were estimated at $250; damages to an interior wall were estimated at $150.
On May 3, a woman reported someone pointed a gun at her and robbed her of the following: A black purse valued at $20; a wallet valued at $10. The purse was recovered. The incident occurred on East Blount Street, Kinston.
On May 3, a woman on U.S. 258 North, Kinston, reported a friend shoved and struck her in the arm. No injuries were reported.
On May 3, a woman on Institute Road, Kinston, reported an acquaintance hit her. No injuries were reported.
On May 3, a Kinston woman reported someone broke into her residence and stole the following: Diamond earrings (value estimate not availalbe); A diamond braclet (value estimate not availalbe). Damages to a door casing were estimated at $25.
On May 3, a representative for the City of Kinston reported the theft of an Echo string grass trimmer. The trimmer is valued at $300. The trimmer was stolen from an outbuilding on East Grainger Avenue, Kinston.
On May 3, a woman on Manning Street reported her brother choked her. No injuries were reported. The incident was cleared by an arrest.
On May 2, a representative of Neuse Sport Shop on East New Bern Road, Kinston, reported the following stolen: A Sea Striker (clothing) valued at $27; Costa Del Mar (clothing) valued at $7.99. Both items were recovered and teh incident was cleared by an arrest.
On May 3, a man reported someone entered a residence through an unlocked window. The incident occurred on Cooks Alley, Kinston.
On May 3, a man on North Queen Street, Kinston, reported someone broke into his residence and stole the following: A Dell computer valued at $1,000; check books (value not listed).
