Homelite Electrifying, Forthrightly, 17 In. Bayonet, Hedge Stick Trimmer Reviews | Buzzillions.com

Electric, Straight, 17 In. Blade, Hedge Pole Trimmer

"This Homelite Hedge Pole Trimmer replaces a five-year old electric pole trimmer which had done well but is wearing out … and doesn’t have features I like on the Homelite.

Homelite’s “extendable handle†helps in trimming difficult places (in my case … a fig-ivy growing on a two story house square brick column which is part of a balcony). With my height, Homelite’s 65 inches, and the extendable handle (18 inches), a12-foot reach is attainable to the middle of the cutting blade straight up; and that works great for me.

Positives: Sturdy construction and “push-button†tilting the motor/blade into multiple positions quickly. The handle extends to reach another 18 inches. A powerful motor and good cutting blade design operate very smoothly.

Negatives: This Homelite (7.3 pounds) is a fraction heavier than my old pole trimmer; however, it is better balanced and easier to use (the latter are definite positives). The trimmer has a two switch start-up including a continuous squeeze run trigger to operate (does not have a lock-on switch so continually holding the switch is required).
