Top-of-the-line 4-stroke trimmer - Honda Trimmer - HHT35SLTAT - Epinions.com

After burning through new models of weed eaters every 2 years, I decided to go for a top notch model and see if they really last that much long. I'm a huge Honda fan and I know from past experience that the make some of the best engines available.

For a trimmer of this quality you'll likely have to find a Honda dealer or visit a professional lawn equipment store. HomeDepot and Lowes will probably not stock something this nice. This thing is professional quality so it does not offer the interchangeable accessories. It is strictly a straight shaft trimmer. The straight shaft is a little more suited to clearing grassy areas rather than trimming along a fence line like a curved shaft trimmer, but I use this for both and it works fine for me.

So what do you get for the $200 extra? Well first off, a 4-stroke engine that doesn't require you to mix oil and gas and does not leave you smelling like 2-cycle engine exhaust when you're done. It is the quietest string trimmer I've even seen, without question. It is also the most powerful. It may be too powerful. This thing will saw through weeds and grass on sheer torque alone. I can do my entire lawn without ever having to use more than 50% of the throttle power. Honda also makes a 25cc version which is probably more practical for most, but I had to have the biggest, baddest one. You pay for it in weight, but I the shoulder harness helps with that. The vibration is minimal. The bump feed works smoothly (most bump trimmers get messed up when you put low-end quality trimmer line in them so buy the good stuff).
