Recoil starter for the Honda engines of GC and GVC 135, 160 series. Which is the 4 and 5.5 hp vertical and horizontal engines
Product fits perfectly and works the first couple of pulls before the cord pulls itself through either the handle or the opposite end. My fix was to tie something to the end of the cord at both ends that would be impossible to pull though using a figure 8 knot. Also the cord gets weaken from it rubbing against the plastic and breaks. Easily replaced but make sure you tighten the coil as far as it can go to ensure it recoils the cord properly.
This recoil starter was very easy to install and works great! I received the product very promptly. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

From the start I knew I was in trouble. First pull. the rope came off from inside. I ended up having to take it apart and make a bigger knot. Second pull, the handle was left in my hand and the rope coiled up inside. You guessed it, I had to take the whole thing apart, fetch the rope and assemble it again. Pretty crappy quality. I have wasted a total of 2 hours to save 4 dollars from getting the original.
It's now 6 months later and I find myself looking for a new one because it is binding up inside when you pull it 2/3 the way out. I have tried to repair it to no avail. Guess what I am not buying?
great product save me a ton of money but warning the rope that comes installed on this is very weak. broke it the frist time i pulled on it and then the second time the string came out of the handle. Ended up buying a beefer roper for it and everything works great now
Part installs and operates well and is easy to replace.
Little pricey for a cheap plastic thing.
