The 50cc motor on the rear accounts for the majority of its 22 pounds, but for the amount of power you receive out of the ECHO PB-500H, that’s a small price to pay.

We recommend that you only use this kind of blower if you have very large lawns. If you have anything under an acre, there are other gas or electric powered leaf blowers that can get the job done for less money. Features on the ECHO PB-500H leaf blower include a hip mounted cruise control and variable speed control so you can adjust how much air the unit is putting out.

When it comes to backpack blowers, the comfort that it gives on your back and shoulders is a very big deal. ECHO took this into account and provided back and shoulder pads for more support and more comfort while wearing the unit.

During the tests that we put the ECHO PB-500H through, we were happy with its 162 MPH air output and its overall performance.
