THE 2011 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show has confirmed a huge range of world releases which will be unveiled at the May 19 to 22 event this year.
World launches include Clipper Motor Yachts’ release of the Cordova 45 in a world first, the latest model in the company’s semi-displacement Cordova series.
Maritimo will unveil its new M60 Series II Motoryacht in a world launch along with the M48 Series II Motoryacht. It is part of the company’s display of 10 boats at the show including three Sports Cabriolets, the new Aegean A55 enclosed flybridge, three Motoryachts and three Offshore Convertibles.
The Integrity 320 Sedan makes a world boat show debut, while exhibitor All4Solar presents the world launch of the Aquawatt, an environmentally-friendly electric drive producing an output of 30hp. The company says this is the world’s most powerful electric outboard motor.
“As at mid-January, our exhibitor numbers were more than 250 which is on track with past years,” said Sanctuary Cove GM events and marketing Sue Thomson.
“We would expect many more world and regional marine product releases to be announced by an expected 400-plus exhibitors by the time of the show’s opening in May.
“We also want to assure the marine industry and the general public that Queensland’s floods have not affected our planning or inquiry rate at this point,” said Thomson. “We are on track to again produce a world-class event.”
Thomson confirmed the president of Monte Carlo Yachts S.p.A Carla Demaria would be a guest speaker at the Australian Marine Industries breakfast staged at the Show on Friday, May 20. This is a ticketed breakfast event open to the public. Details on ticket sales will be released closer to the show.
Demaria founded in Italy Monte Carlo Yachts S.p.A which launched its first model, the Monte Carlo Yachts 76, last September in Europe. The model has won numerous awards since its launch including the World Yacht Trophy for Design at Cannes Boat Show.
For Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, confirmed exhibitors have been drawn from around Australia, New Zealand and the United States. Many imported brands are represented by Australian agents.
Other displays include Rivergate Alley launched at the Show. Rivergate Alley is exhibiting at the Superyacht Pavilion with a range of marine services. The display includes a shipwright, a trimmer, an engineer, a painter, a mechanic and a yard.
New Zealand exhibitor Diverse Projects is showcasing Black Pearl, a 31.5m long range super yacht while exhibitor Cummins is displaying the QSB5.9-480hp, the QSC8.3-600hp and the QSM11-715hp Zeus models at Sanctuary Cove.
In 2011, the four-day show will be held Thursday, May 19 to Sunday, May 22 at Sanctuary Cove in Queensland, Australia from 9am to 5pm daily. An exciting calendar of events and entertainment will be released closer to the show dates.
“We have gained further support from industry for our Sea Trial area,” said Thomson. Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show created a national initiative in 2010 when it introduced the ability for exhibitors to conduct Sea Trials during the show in a dedicated area. The Prestige Brokerage and Charter Boat Display is available for exhibitors to showcase prestige brokerage boats 50 feet and over.
Club Marine is a confirmed sponsor for 2011 event. Media partners include BoatPoint.com.au, Channel 7, 4KQ and 92.5 Gold FM.
