What should i do see a dr.,go to hospital, or continue self-care?

i was testing the sharpness on a pair of hedge trimmers a the blade went into my thumb ..

it stings. i couldnt sleep well. when i first was cut it was hard to control the bleeding. i dont feel comfortable about when iu should change my bandages....

i need help..

it has now been 16hrs. and it isnt bleeding it just hurts. the wound isnt too deep but it isnt a flesh wound either...
