I can give you an opinion based on personal experience on what a good string trimmer is (aka line trimmer, weed eaters, weed whacker). I bought a Craftsman trimmer three years ago at Kmart and it works great. It was a good deal and they always have the string in stock (something the line from Wal-Mart did not do).

They have one on sale that is similar to mine for .00 USD online.
