This cordless set is by no means a replacement for heavy duty, gas-powered tools. They are however a good substitute for electric plug-ins.
The build quality is great. I've had this set for over a year now and use all three tools every week. The auto-feeding weed whacker is simply awesome. It spools out additional line automatically and more importantly, consistently. I've replaced the stock spool thus far and that's it so I'd say it uses the line efficiently. This dual-use of the weed whacker as an edger is pretty handy and easy to use. With a simple twist I can go from weed-whacking, to edging, and then back again.
The hedge trimmers are equally as strong as my B&D plug-in that I own and has plenty of reach. The blower is handy, albeit a power sucker. It's not to be used for extended use and is only a substitute for using a broom or rake in light duty situations. Don't expect to push an entire yard's worth of leaves around with it.
The 3-pack of batteries is great. When I drain one I can quickly switch out with a back-up...twice.
I don't have any complaints with this set (for what it is). If all you have is basic maintaince to do on your landscaping then this is a great set. If you're sitting on an acre or more of land or have OCD about your landscaping then you'll want to make the investment in some gas-powered tools.
